Hyacinth's home has buckets of style.

Number 117 Heather Road In Binley Woods, Coventry, known as the Rose and Tony Healey's bungalow, was the Bucket Residence in Keeping Up Appearances. It has recently been voted the ninth most stylish houses on TV alongside Sex and the City's Park Avenue apartment, Frasier, Seattle apartment, the Osbourne's Beverly Hills mansion and Friends apartment.

Rose Healey, 63 said: "I was delighted and a little surprised at my home's inclusion in the illustrious top 10! It's nearly 10 years since the BBC was last here and we have altered the house since then. The front looks quite different. We still get visitors, even from America, but they say it's not the same as in the programme. They're always showing the repeats and I wish we got paid royalties for every time it was on!"

The Healeys originally thought the whole idea of their home being used for filming was a practical joke and were astonished to find it was a completely serious enterprise by the BBC.

Over five years, from 1990 to 1995, dozens of cast and crew arrived at the usually quiet Binley Woods street, including, of course, Hyacinth herself, played by Patricia Routledge and the whole prestigious British cast. Designers transformed the exterior, putting net curtains up at the window and stained glass on the front door. Exterior scenes were filmed in Binley Woods and the inside scenes were filmed in the BBC's studios. The house now has an extension but still looks very much like in the show.
